Sometimes all you want is a really good biscuit with your favourite cuppa – nothing too fancy, no surprises, something reassuringly crisp, buttery and sweet. That’s exactly what you get from the new biscuit ranges by Beau’s Bakehouse, a much-loved bakery based in Frampton-on-Severn near Stroud.
Created by Jacqui Cowper-Smith in 2009, Beau’s Bakehouse is a tribute to Jacqui’s grandmother, Beau, whose own passion for baking was a source of inspiration. As a former Food Technologist, Jacqui has combined her knowledge with her passion for baking to bring some of the nation’s favourite sweet treats to local delis, stores and farm shops all over the Cotswolds.
Today Beau’s Bakehouse has a team of six skilled bakers, all creating the delicious baked goods that we have come to know and love. The traybakes, sponge cakes and gluten free brownies have now been joined by two new product lines: the Traditional Ginger Fairings are crisp ginger biscuits with a pleasant injection of heat, while the Oat and Cranberry Shorties are crumbly, buttery, oaty biscuits bursting with juicy cranberries.
Prettily packaged, they are perfect for gifting this Christmas, or for pressing the pause button as you put the kettle on and enjoy a moment of selfish delight!
