Cotswold cocktails

Nothing says summer like a cocktail in the garden, and nothing says summer in the Cotswolds like a cocktail in the garden made using local spirits and mixers! Take a look at our local twist on some classic cocktails and start mixing it up…


Not so French 75

Add the gin, lemon juice and syrup to a shaker with ice and shake until well-chilled. Strain into a Champagne flute. Top with the sparkling wine. Garnish with a lemon twist.

The English Garden

Shake the gin, juices, mint and elderflower together in a cocktail shaker, along with a handful of ice. Strain the mixture into a collins (highball) glass and top up with a little more ice. Garnish the cocktail with fresh line, mint or cucumber slices.

Rhubarb & Elderflower Crush

Shake all ingredients (except soda) with cubed ice and strain into a rocks glass over crushed ice. Garnish with thinly sliced fresh apple and lime slice.


Zesty Citrus Martini

Dip the rim of your glass into a shallow plate of water and then the orange sugar. Add enough ice to fill half of the cocktail shaker, then add your cordial, vodka and triple sec. if pulp in the cocktail is preferred, add a slice of orange to the shaker. Shake vigorously and strain into a chilled martini glass. Add a touch of prosecco to top up the glass. Garnish the side of the glass with an orange slice (cutting a small slit into it so it stays in place).

Summer G&T

Combine the gin and pressé in a large gin goblet with plenty of ice. Add the basil leaves and sliced strawberries to garnish.

  • 25ml Campari Bitters

Place all ingredients into an ice-filled old fashioned glass, stir and serve. Garnish with a twist of grapefruit peel.
