Three Choirs Vineyard

One of England’s oldest vineyards, Three Choirs in Gloucestershire was first planted in 1973 on an area of just ½ acre. Today, the vineyard encompasses 75 acres and produces 250 thousand bottles a year. Many of the wines are award-winning, including the first gold medal at Vinexpo in Bordeaux to be awarded to an English vineyard, and the producers are continually focusing on innovation and excellence in their wine. You can try the following

Cheers: Coleridge Hill 2022 is a crisp, refreshing wine with distinctly English hedgerow aromas and hints of crisp apple, fragrant elderflower and freshly cut grass.

Morrisons The Best English Sparkling

A blend of the traditional Champagne grapes and stored in perfectly conditioned cellars for at least 8 years, this is remarkably good English winemaking. Expect notes of lemon, apple, cream and pear drop to be elevated by the yeasty flavours of brioche and biscuit. The age lends real depth and weight to this wine and a finely balanced palate.

Woodchester Valley Vineyard

The Stroud Valleys might not be your first thought when it comes to English wines but a visit to this boutique vineyard in the heart of the Five Valleys will soon change your mind. In fact, the vineyard has 56 acres under vine, producing an award-winning range of white, rosé, red and sparkling wines. The vineyard has even produced a couple of rather exceptional reds, and a sell-out Sauvignon Blanc, one of the only vineyards in the UK to use this mainstream, popular grape.

Cheers: Pinot Rosé is a new season rosé with initial aroma of raspberries and fresh cut roses with a hint of lemon zest and subtle strawberry notes.
