Battledown Brewery

When they established Battledown Brewery in 2005, it was the realisation of a lifelong dream for husband and wife team Roland and Stephanie Elliott-Berry. Using his brewing experience, Roland creates beers with all-natural ingredients, following traditional brewing techniques. The beers are sold throughout the Cotswolds and the brewery has moved from its original Battledown premises to Cheltenham’s exciting new food and drink arena at Dowdeswell Park.

The three core beers are Original, a traditional English chestnut beer with a robust, malty aroma and taste, ideal for steaks, BBQs and curries; Amber Ale, a modern best bitter with well-balanced hop and malt characteristics, ideal with chicken, salads, aromatic dishes and chocolate cake; Pale Ale, a golden pale ale with a refreshing aroma and a smooth clean taste, perfect with fish and lighter dishes, pasta, blue cheese and fruit puddings.

Tours of the new brewery are available, in conjunction with Battledown’s sister company, Sibling Gin, a fantastic local gin.
