Welcome from Guy Warner
Dear Taste Club member,
It’s hard to believe a whole year has passed since the first lockdown order to stay at home. But at last, things might be starting to return to normal. But normal today may feel very different from what it was – liberating, while a little daunting at the same time.
Thankfully, the rule of six means we don’t have to go all out all at once – drinks in the garden is a great way to ease ourselves into this new world. And the best bit is that no-one expects to be catered for – a few locally-made drinks (check out our exclusive offer for Purity Brewing’s beers and ciders) and you’re good to go!
From 12th April, we can enjoy drinks – and food – with said friends in pubs and restaurants – enjoying an evening off the cooking at last! With the unpredictable weather, many places have been upgrading their outdoor spaces to offer the best possible experience for diners and drinkers – check out our guide here.
Easter weekend may be a small family affair this year, but it doesn’t mean you can’t go all out with the cooking. New seasonal ingredients are starting to be harvested – pick up some exclusive Taste Club offers with our new partner, Cotswold Essentials - and try some new recipes – Old Farm Dorn’s stuffed pork tenderloin with seasonal vegetables is a winner and if you don’t have time to make it yourself, Taste Club members can pick up a ready-made version at the Old Farm Dorn farmshop! And don’t forget the cheese for after – this month’s Cheeseboard is a striking ash-lined cheese from Cotswold Cheese Co.
While there may not be the usual Easter egg hunts to take the children to this year, why not enter this month’s Prize Draw to win a tour of Cackleberry Farm, home of Cacklebean ‘Exquisite Eggs’ - you’ll even go home with an egg-filled hamper to enjoy this month!
