Jolly Nice was founded by farmers Rebecca and Simon Wilson in 2013. Rebecca steers the ship and Simon drives the tractor. Their three children have all been involved since the start in developing the business, tasting new recipes and rounding up escapee pigs.

Sustainability is at the heart of this thriving venue, which means looking after the soil, the animals and the people who work with them. On the butchery counter, provenance is key, and you can be sure that all sausages and fillings for scotch eggs and pies are made using the farm’s own animals, whether that’s woodland-reared Gloucestershire Old Spot, Tamworth and Berkshire pigs, or Shorthorn beef for the Jolly Nice burgers. Other meat comes from carefully selected farms.

Working with a range of local suppliers, the farm shop also stocks a growing range of fresh fruit and vegetables and a delightful range of deli products. The seasonal Christmas shop and Tree Forest is a must-visit every December!

As a response to Covid, the café which was formerly housed in the yurt, became a drive-through café where visitors can pick up something nourishing without having to get out of the car. The drive-through has proved extremely popular, serving up a range of hot drinks and pastries, smoothies, salads, sourdough toasties and sandwiches.

For green fingered enthusiasts, there is a gorgeous garden to enjoy at the venue where you’ll find a host of native species buzzing with bees and other pollinators come spring and summer.

For green gifts to take home, there is a range of house plants and decorative pots to choose from, and the in-house florist is always on hand to put together a beautiful bouquet of colourful blooms.
